Seated with legs crossed on a separate embossed base consisting of a blanket covering a set of two cushions, all incised with various designs, his right hand in bhumisparshamudra while the left is resting on his lap, wearing monastic garment, including a tunic, underskirt fastened around his waist by a belt, mantle covering both shoulders and falling down his back in heavy vertical folds, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the nose-bridge, smiling lips, elongated earlobes and a shaven hairdo, resealed.
From an old southern German private collection, supplemented by inheritance in the 1950s and acquisitions in the 1960s to the 1980s - Small breaks on the hem of the garment and on the base, otherwise beautifully preserved
